Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the usefulness of the twice-application method of tree drawing technique as one technique for understanding of Asperger's syndrome of the adulthood. The survey targeted 3 Asperger's syndrome patients. As a result, the drawing characteristic of Asperger's syndrome was a considerably wide trunk and an inharmonious structure of the tree, the persistence to the details, a unique tree image. Though it was common that a big tree was drawn in the first piece, 3 cases expressed a conflict and a loneliness of personal relationships by different drawing expression. In other words not only the examination a drawing characteristic of the Asperger’s syndrome by nomothetic approach, but also the idiographic approach is necessary. Furthermore, these findings suggested usefulness of this technique as the method to understanding of Asperger's syndrome.
